DrayTek Vigor lifecycle status — the real story

DrayTek Vigor routers, VigorAP access points and VigorSwitch switches, per model, from DrayTek's own Product Lifecycle page (read 2026-09-09). The page carries a launch date and, once a model is discontinued, an End-of-Sale date and a firmware-maintenance period after End of Sale (60 months for most models, 36 for some); the page itself renders the End-of-Life date as the End-of-Sale date plus that period, and this file reproduces that arithmetic exactly (same month and day, year plus the whole years in the period). Mapping: releaseDate = Launch, support = End of Sale (full support and new firmware features stop; security firmware continues), eol = the rendered End-of-Life date, lastOrderDay = End of Sale. Models DrayTek lists as Available carry no dates. DrayTek's policy text: the End-of-Life date is the last date it guarantees critical security updates; after it, security updates are not guaranteed although technical support may continue while the technology is not obsolete.

Cross-check at the read: every model DrayTek marks 'End of Life' has a computed date in the past and every model marked 'End of Sale' has one in the future, so the reproduced arithmetic agrees with the vendor's own status column on all 48 discontinued models. Two models (Vigor130, Vigor2926 plus VN-only) have no launch date on the page and keep releaseDate null.
